Here’s another hit from Adam Lambert that deserves loads of air play.
The song "Mad World" was originally sang by a British band called "Tears for Fears". Two decades later, the same song was converted into a much slower and ballad-like style by composers Michael Andrews and Gary Jules. Years later, our beloved Adam Lambert made it his own.

I never heard of this song until Adam belted it out during the final 3(??) and it was amazing. It left everybody in awe. As i only managed to watch his performance briefly, i never got the song name until today =p

The song is beautifully haunting and so hypnotizing at the same time. It's already my ringtone!

I tried to dig for the exact live performance of this video but i can’t find it. Even if there are, the embedding is disabled. *sigh* so i think i’d just have to settle with the studio recorded version with footage of the live version if i want to upload it here. Which is sad.

Seriously, check out the song below. It is a fresh change from Adam's typical rock n roll style.

Read the lyrics. They are amazing.
You know, i still feel weird about Kris Allen's victory in American Idol. Maybe it was planned. How many AI champs actually made it in real life? The fat black guy was dropped by his label ; Taylor Hicks should be getting the boot soon ; Kelly Clarkson is all over the place although she can sing her heart out ; Jordin Sparks keeps gettin bigger!!! ;Clay Aiken is a hot gay mess...
The biggest reigning champ that we all have no doubt in is of course, Carrie Underwood. She beat Faith Hill in some country music award for God sake. The girl's going miles.
Then we look at the the dropouts. Daughtry's first album went quartdrupal (is that how you spell that word?) platinum ; Kelly Pickler is making waves in the music and movie scene ; Jennifer Hudson is a friggin' OSCAR winner for crying out loud ;...
So, what i feel is that winning AI might but be the death of your possible singing career. People tend to focus on the drop-outs. It's like, Okay, so you won AI, congrats. BYE.
Adam Lambert is a major star in the making and as stereotype as i might sound, i really hope he embrace his rocking root and revive the 70's glam rock style. We'll just leave pop and ballads to the Backstreet Boys =p
Update : hahahahah i uploaded the wrong video. haha!! sorray!! its changed now
